Executive Summary

Women and girls in vulnerable communities often face limited access to economic opportunities due to social barriers, restricted mobility, lack of market information, and insufficient skills development pathways. To address these challenges, Bedari commissioned IRIS Education and Training Services to conduct a comprehensive market assessment aimed at identifying viable livelihood opportunities for women and girls within targeted districts.

The project identified sustainable, market-driven livelihood opportunities and provided evidence-based recommendations for designing economic empowerment interventions that promote financial independence, social inclusion, and resilience.

Key opportunities were identified in Home-Based Enterprises (stitching, handicrafts, food processing), Service Sectors (beauty, digital freelancing), and Small Business Development.

These findings enabled development partners and stakeholders to design targeted interventions that align with local market realities while actively addressing systemic barriers faced by women and girls.
