Executive Summary

IRIS Education and Training Services was engaged to develop a comprehensive Position Paper on Nutrition Financing and Budget Analysis in Sindh. The assignment focused on reviewing public sector nutrition investments, financing trends, budget allocations, expenditure patterns, and policy commitments related to nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific interventions.

The study analyzed provincial budget documents, sectoral allocations, development expenditures, and financing mechanisms supporting nutrition outcomes across Sindh. The assignment aimed to identify financing gaps, investment priorities, and opportunities to strengthen nutrition governance through evidence-based budgeting and resource allocation.

The research provided actionable recommendations for policymakers, development partners, and nutrition stakeholders to improve financing efficiency, strengthen accountability mechanisms, and enhance investments in nutrition-related services for women, children, and vulnerable populations.
