Executive Summary

IRIS Education & Training Services conducted a comprehensive Situational Analysis and Community Vulnerability Assessment in Sukkur District to generate evidence for future development programming and humanitarian interventions.

The assignment examined socioeconomic conditions, access to basic services, livelihood patterns, community vulnerabilities, food security conditions, social protection mechanisms, and institutional capacities. The study aimed to identify key development challenges affecting vulnerable populations and provide evidence-based recommendations for strategic interventions.

Using a combination of household surveys, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, stakeholder consultations, and community profiling exercises, the assessment generated a detailed understanding of local realities and priority needs.

The findings supported development partners in designing responsive, community-centered, and evidence-based programs that contribute to resilience, social inclusion, poverty reduction, and sustainable development.
